In the “Vacay Collection,” I explore new realms in both environment and image source as we dove under the clear waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands with kid-friendly, waterproof point-and-shoot cameras during our summer vacation. The mystery of the screenless cameras created so much joy within our family as we uploaded our images and discovered what we had captured with our swimming and photography skills. The tangled web of bouncing light off the gentle waves; the dispersion of light through the turquoise waters; the details of the scales of the fish; all captured with a kid’s novelty camera: nature’s continuous patterns and repetitions all able to be found when you search, dive, and discover, but more wonderfully- when you’re willing to wait patiently.
