CURRENT WORK

My recent bodies of oil paintings are concentrated in five different series: local landscapes and scenes, “A Closer Look,” wildlife, bar scenes, modern choices, and the Mini Series. Each of these allow me the opportunity to push my various strengths and artistic sensibilities in different directions. Within each of these collections, I will say “this is my favorite thing to paint,” but the sentiment is true: I paint what I love, and I find something new and informative in the process in hopes that viewers will too.  At the very least, the titles of my paintings are often just as fun and personal to me as the subjects themselves, so when someone asks “is that movie quote?” or “isn’t that a Taylor Swift lyric,” I’m just as pleased.
